Vogue 100 Exhibition
I have always read Vogue, well l say read, l really only look at the images. The photography has always been inspiring to me, the fantasy that can be created by an image. So l was so excited when heard about Vogue celebrating its centenary by having an exhibition in London. The exhibition, showing at the V&A, showcases the iconic images from the world famous style bible since it’s launch in 1916. Opening the archives of Condé Nast, there are nearly 300 images shown together for the first time. Fashion, celebrity, portraits and cultural photographs by such famous photographers as Mario Testino, Herb Ritts, Tim Walker and David Bailey are shown in rooms decade by decade. Alexander McQueen presides over one room like a God in the church of fashion. It shows the reflection of our times through thought provoking imagery, a must see for anyone interested in fashion or photography.
The exhibition is on until 22nd May 2016 at the V&A London.
